Exclusive Opportunity Gives NAUI Students Magical Memories

NAUI affiliated businesses and instructors have exclusive access to a unique scuba experience for their students through NAUI's successful eight-year sponsorship of Walt Disney World Resort's® Shark Reef at Typhoon Lagoon. NAUI has approved Typhoon Lagoon for open water training dives, so open water training dive credit may be earned with one scuba and one snorkel dive counting toward certification.

Shark Reef consists of two tanks containing 362,000 gallons of saltwater and a Caribbean style coral reef. Masks, snorkels and buoyancy vests are provided to all snorkelers. In addition to Shark Reef, Disney's Typhoon Lagoon is known for containing America's largest wave pool, where guests can body surf in six-foot high waves, and a man-made watershed mountain with eight water slides.
