I was doing my last two dives with Ed Robinson's on Maui, my first four dives after certification. Over those four dives, I got a total of 125 minutes underwater.

Yesterday NWGratefulDiver and I dove at Sund Rock in the Hood Canal here in WA State. We did two dives; the first dive was 65 minutes and the second dive 61 minutes for a total of 126 minutes. I actually got more time underwater yesterday in one quick trip to the Canal than I did over two two tank boat dives in Maui exactly two years before.

It's fun to look back on those first dives and see how far I've come over the last couple years!

Good for you. Just think of where you'll be in two more years?

Two years ago today I was recovering from frostbite after some dipstick called in a boat sinking with two adults and five children on board in -17 weather. Funny joke....

Your right about how far we can come in a short period.I now end up with more air at the end of the dive than most of the people I dive with. Last nights dive was 700psi 900psi and 1500psi for me. Two years ago I would have been the first on out of air.
Happy New Year and safe diving to all!

I was looking at my first log book today. On my 6th dive (in Thailand, where I was certified), I wrote in it "instructor says VERY poor visibilty, only 10-15 *meters*!

I just die laughing everytime I read this, 'cuz, in SoCal, as a bonified beach diver, I am grateful for 10-15 feet of vis!! HAHAHAHAHA :lol2:

Congrats on the big improvement of air consumption. That is an awesome improvement. :11:
