I think that one is some sort of scorpionfish (spotted scorpionfish)... the other seems to be a parrotfish (?Redtail ?Initial phase)..
Any ideas?

The parrots look like initial phases, sure enough. I think you're right about the redtails, although yellowtails can look a lot like that too. That has to be the most boring color phase of any Caribbean parrot.

I'm trying to organize my single fish shots into an ID database... I downloaded a spreadsheet with 3000 common and scientific names from fishbase.org, and then moved that to a filemaker pro database. Now I'm trying to put pictures into as many of the records as I can... have 114 so far..!
