Seriously, Monk seals are solitary animals so you were watching monk seal porn. As I recall, it was around this time that they mate, or at least I've seen this kind of interaction around this time (from the surface).

I happened to be watching your dive party at Spitting Cave, from up on the rocks. You were fortunate to have spent quality time with a 7 y.o. female named Rocky (RH58) (N11), who had been playing and foraging there for hours, with a 2 1/2 y.o. male named Buster (RV08). They remained long after all of you had departed. There was no porn or mating involved, just good wholesome Monk Seal play.

Kinda'/Sorta" employee. I'm a full time (and a half) volunteer of many years, ranging all over Oahu. I've become quite familiar with the Oahu population and deal with them on a daily basis. Basically, I'm a reeeeeally poorly paid NMFS worker.
