Tragischer Tauchunfall in Sachsen: Zwei Männer sterben
Google translation...
Two divers died in northern Saxony, pensioners recovered dead from Schneeberger Filzteich
There was a tragic diving accident on Saturday in northern Saxony. Two rescue divers (57, 69) of the DRK water rescue service in Brandenburg / Havel died in the Wildschütz quarry lake . Both were not in action, but rather with a group of friendly divers in the water, which is up to 74 meters deep.

A complication must have arisen underwater, as a result of which the actually experienced men showed up far too quickly.

According to the police, the divers floated lifelessly on the surface of the water around 12.15 p.m. They couldn't be resuscitated. Two of the recreational divers were also injured by surfacing too quickly and had to go to the pressure chamber.

Quick search says there's an 'underwater habitat' station at 30ft. Don't know if it's maintained(supplied) and hopefully other tech divers can provide conditions information. Anytime its 2 deaths together, there is always unique circumstances involved.

So, four divers came up too quickly? I assume it was 2 groups, experienced by themselves and the rec divers by themselves... and yet these 2 distinct groups did come up all too quickly. Somehow it doesn't make sense.

Sketchy at best, but it seems that the 2 injured were from the same group of divers (but a seperate buddy team); one asumption is that they noticed the other two in trouble and tried to help
