Two conchs or what?

I have seen conchs before but these seemed different.

The first had a large brown or black foot and was digging the dirt at the other end

this one was moving along (galump galump) like a conch does, and when I picked it up (they normally withdraw) it kept trying to move and I got this fantastic shot of the body.

Any thoughts on their actual common names?

horse conch and conch
 
1st: Horse Conch is what we call them in the Bahamas, but West Indian Chank is the proper name. Look up their egg cases, you've most likely seen them around.

2nd: The other conch is the Queen Conch, Strombus gigas
