"Twisted Sister" Megalodon Found May 28th

Here is an awesome deformed C. megalodon found by Mike K. yesterday just south of Venice Beach. Mike is an active beach diver. It just shows you can still find those megs even when the vis is low. This tooth measured 4 3/4 inches on the diagonal and was nicely serrated. Cool find Mike!

Real nice find....... Never seen a curved Meg. Great Job!!!
 
Nice pathological!! I would love to see more pictures when it is cleaned! Check to see how many bite marks or scars it might have. This tooth has a nice story behind it and a true treasure. Most likely in its early stages of development its pathology occured. Thanks for sharing enjoyed it.
 
I'm just glad I didn't start diving until after the Megalodon went extinct... it did, didn't it (I hear reports that remnant populations may be lurking in the deep!)
