Opinions on this computer and console. Is this the only console with a computer that TUSA offers now. I need a new console and can get a good deal on one of these. Wonderring if I should pull the trigger on it.

Max,
I have this one and am happy with it. The only drawback is that the computer must be popped out of the boot to connect it to the download cable. Seems to be a good solid unit.

The Tusa is actually a Seiko computer... same as a Dive Rite Nitek Duo. If you want an inexpensive dual gas computer - it's a good deal... should go for about $400 with the compass and pressure gauge, which puts it in about the same price range as say an Aeris Atmos 2 console.

The Seiko will have a much more conservative allowable time than the Aeris, and the numbers are a bit smaller, but we've had very good luck, with no returns, and like mholmes mentioned, the only hassle is taking it in and out of the boot if you want to download.

Thanks, this may look like the ticket. Do you know if this is the only computer/console that TUSA is currently making. I thought they had more of a selection?

I don't know for sure if it is the only computer/console that TUSA is making, but, its the only one listed on their website. They also list the IQ-800 but only in a wrist version and a few consoles without computers.

BTW, I have the SC 343 purchased from Scubatoys and am quite happy with it after 30+ dives.
