Hi, I would like a Tusa regulator and this has caught my eye:

Tusa Platina Adjustable Regulator (RS-340)

I'm going to buy a spare 2nd stage on top of that, but then I saw:

Tusa Platina Adjustable Regulator, DIN (RS-340)

It's the same regulator, but the first stage uses a DIN valve, and it includes the octopus. seems like a better deal.

Which should I get? The first one + buy other octopus? Or just the 2nd one?
Is there anything wrong with the DIN valve that I should know to consider?

This is a petty problem, but I notice a difference in the picture of the items- is this of significant concern? are they trying to show the DIN valve better or something?

It may be too late to reply to this but the only question I would ask Leisurepro is "is the DIN fitting 300 bar". Other than that, I would get the DIN package deal between those two reg choices.

Get the DIN reg. Then get a yoke adapter; you'll be able to use aluminum and steel tanks effortlessly with that setup. Don't worry about "200- or 300- bar" fittings. They are colloquialisms for different tank valves, and they both can carry the same working pressure. They just vary in depth where the reg screws into them. Any DIN reg can fit BOTH tank valves, so that's no problem at all.

Tusa makes damn good regs, and they're easy breathers. I'd get one in a heartbeat.

A 200bar din connector will work in a 300bar valve? If the fittings are the proper ones, that will not happen. (but that's a whole other argument)

It's very rare now to see 200Bar DIN connectors on regulators, but I have seen them and the poor souls that own them cannot use them on the deeper threaded 300Bar valves.

It's not just me that thinks this either. SCUBA Valves: Regulator Fittings, 200 vs 300 Bar FAQ and Cylinder Neck Threads - Dive Gear Express

It's a moot point anyway, I am sure the OP has a regulator by now.
