I am shopping for a computer and I've found what I think I want: the Tusa IQ 700. It seems to have the features I want (large display, Nitrox, user replacable battery, ability to download) AND it's fairly cheap ($250 range new).

I guess I should add that I plan on doing warmish water, non-deco dives. No tech diving for me....

Does anyone have any experience with this computer? I've seen a few for sale here and there, but can't find any real user reviews.

Thanks for your help!

If they are the same computer, why is the Tusa so much cheaper? I'm not complaining, mind you.

Can't comment on their marketing but all those mentioned are made by Seiko. I think Cressi has the same computer as well called the Archimede or something like that. The buttons look different on that one I believe but the guts are the same. I have been diving a Duo for 3 years now and 3 of my regular dive buddies use the Tusa's. Other than the name printed on the case they are identical.

They are all the same, and if I remember correctly the TUSA has a longer warranty.
I've been using one for years without a single problem, mostly in gauge mode.

I have had mine for close to 2 years and have not had any problems. The numbers are large enough to actually read with no problems.

My ONLY complaint so far............. The stupid computer cable is still over $100. Not the end of the world, but I would still like to play with transferring the data to play with. I actually wrote Tusa a letter about lowering the price since the computer has been around for some time. They replied NOT.
