I recently purchased a regulator and gauge package from scubatoys.com. The gauge package (Tusa SCA-343 Nitrox) included the Tusa IQ-700 dive computer. In the manual it says that it is PC downladable. But I cannot find anybody that sells the kit. I have done a web search and the best that I could find was on Liesurepro, and all they said was "coming soon". The Tusa web page is no better as they do not list the IQ-700 or the SCA-343 console under there current product list. I have also contacted my LDS and they don't know anything about it either.

So my questions are:

1) Where do I get the download kit for this thing?
2) Do you need to remove the computer from the console to do a download?

As I was writing this I thought of the obvious. I have not contacted Larry at Scubatoys. I will be contacting him (if he doesn't respond to this thread). In the mean time the questions still stand.

Perhaps you should read your signature line... ;) Don't forget to visit Scubatoys.com. I just got the shipment of the first Download Cables for Tusa / Diverite. Funny thing is, Diverite can't get the cables yet... Tusa bought them all... but it's the same computer - same cable. And the software is a free download from tusa's website.

So take advantage of the 10% plus free shipping... Give me a shout later today and I'll get you set up.

Oh, and yes... you will have to pop it out to download it. Maybe not the best design... but it's really pretty easy to do.

Is the software the same for the Tusa, DiveRite, and Archimedes versions of the computer?

Yes, Yes, and no. The Tusa and the DiveRite are the exact same computer. The Archimedes in not dual gas... and I've heard the software will have to be different... but have not tried it myself. But the Cable is the same for all of them. Cressi says it will be another month or so until they have software.

babar:
does the same kit work with the iq-800? anyone know?

babar

Yes... I do.

Oh... you wanted an answer... Uh Yes... Same Cable and Same Software - you just put in a different serial number for the 800..

For the IQ-800 the serial number is DT54A-3472-1882

For the IQ-700 the serial number is DT53A-6353-2371

Hey thanks for the responce Larry.

Unfortunatly the download kit is a little more expensive than I initially thought it would be. So I am going to have to wait until after the holidays, and for my Credit Card too cool down :flame: from over-usage.

Thanks for the response, dessaler, but from what Larry said, the Apeks software is designed for the dual gas compters and is not compatible with the Archimede. Have you used it successfully? (I'll be really happy if you say "yes")
