I have the Tusa DC Hunter IQ-700. I am trying to download my dive log from the dive computer using the IQ-700 Download Kit from Tusa.

I downloaded all the software from the Tusa website and followed all the directions exact as they are written. But, it is not working.

I have uninstalled, re installed, re-dowloaded, etc. etc., but no matter what I do I cannot get the USB reader to connect to my computer correctly.

I am running Windows Vista. Anyone have this problem or have any idea how to get this thing to work?? I'm so frustrated!! Been trying for hours!!

I also have a Tusa IQ-700 and download kit. migrated it over to a different computer (from a P3 to a P4 machine), both had Windows XP Pro. I used it on the P3 machine back in Nov '09 and in Feb I went to download. As soon as I connected the download clamp thing to the dive computer terminals, the dive computer started beeping. Adjusted the terminal clamp and it stopped and was able to get to the PC screen on the DC, but when I went to download to the old Ver.4 my PC said it had a problem and had to close (tried this several times with the same result). So downloaded the new Tusa logbook (ver.1), but couldn't get the software to install got an error message saying some 'module' was missing, same results when installed in different directory and also when reinstalled after a second download. The clamp downloader is acting almost as if it has a short in it when connected to the DC. I sent emails to Tusa, but haven't gotten any replies.
I know this doesn't help, but you and I may not be the only ones out there with a problem.
I have Vista on my laptop and have had more problems with it in a very much shorter time than all the years I've had XP. Maybe that (as with other stuff and Vista) it just won't work with Vista. I'd try it on an XP machine or upgrade to Win7.
