I only have 1 week available to dive this winter. Jan 8-15. We have never been to Roatan and have heard good things about it. Turquoise Bay resrt has been recommended. Thoughts?

Not really a dive resort, but a resort that offers some diving. At last check, they had Osman Gomez, one of the single most accomplished DM's on Roatan running their show, however.
January is a bit iffy for North or West operations, and this is very much so a "North" operation, located far, far away from escaping to the South side for calmer weather if/when a Norther rolls in.

If you go I'd love to know how it is. Sunwing has that package for only $1075 includes flights + AI. But diving would be extra but that is still a good deal. We ended up going to FI for $1735/pp
