I tried Dive Provo over Caicos Adventures in July 2009, after Live Aboard diving on the Explorer Ventures T&C. At the time, interviewing dive ops on island, Dive Provo seemed more like a dive op and the other looked like a t-shirt souvenir shop. However, once we started diving I regretted my choice. Dive Provo's attitude in general was snarky, as I made a comment about diving earlier in the week with Explorer. The only reason that I mentioned it was so that the dive op knew we had been diving recently, but instead, the DM gave me a big sarcastic "whoopee." The rest of the dives were similar to that attitude, they could careless about most things, including divers. Caicos seemed much better, as an afterthought, but we had pre-paid the rest of the dives with DP. Personally, DP wasn't horrible, but did nothing to intice me to return with their lack of customer service and enthusiasm. I will try Caicos or Turtle next time we return.

We dove with Caicos Adventures last May and LOVED them. We still talk about how awesome Fifi and his crew was. The diving was the best I've done in the Caribbean so far. We can't wait to go back and dive with them. We stayed at Turtle Cove Inn, which is in the Marina, but just a 5-min walk to an empty part of Grace Bay. It's very modest, but was just right for us--we're budget travellers and don't want a fancy resort.

JPSlim:
I will be in Provo the last week of February staying in the Grace Bay area. I plan to dive with Caicos Adventures so maybe I'll see you on the reef. Enjoy the trip.

The family and I are going back to Beaches resort in May. Last year I did not have the chance to use Caicos Adventures but this trip we will make the time. :D

going to T&C in April and need to finalize plans in the next day or 2. found good deals but can't decide. Provo or Grand Truk. Suggestions?? leaning towards Provo.

That's not a problem; they pick you up at your hotel each morning! Theyb are a great dive operation...:coffee:

We are also staying at the Turtle Cove area in July. How far is it to Caicos Adventures?

as said they pick you up - and the boat doesn't leave from anywhere near their shop (or much of anything) so it doesn't matter anyway. Shop is more of a place to maybe check in when you get there, and buy mentioned t-shirts.
