I have never been to Turks and Caicos. I am looking for info on which island to dive at, where to stay and who to dive with. Any info would be greatly appreciated

Unless you want to spend a lot of time riding back and forth to the sites in small dive boats I'd advise one of the liveaboards which operate there, either Aggressor or Explorer Ventures. The walls are great, I think it's my favorite place to dive in the Caribbean.

Thanks, i was wondering if Grand Turk would be close to the sites, and a good island to base from. i will look into liveaboards

Thanks, i meant if Grand Turk would be a good island to go to and dive with a dive op there, instead of a live aboard. it seems like there are lots of good sites close to there
Yes, absolutely - the wall diving in the Christopher Columbus Marine park can be very good. GT is an old-school kind of place, quiet and entirely different from Provo's resort scene. There's a couple of small hotels and a bunch of airbnb-type places. The dive shops are all down on Duke Street. Try Bluewater Divers or Grand Turk Diving Co. We've had a house down there for 10 years and have gone diving in all seasons - the wall is long enough w/ nearly 30 sites that there's usually good conditions someplace, and no site is more than 25 minutes by boat. The liveaboards generally don't go to Grand Turk - it's a shore-based diving place.

Happy to answer any questions!

Grand Turk definitely has closer shore type diving. From Provo if you are doing days trips, 2 tank dives, you are looking at 45 min to an hour each way on the boat. I love a good boat ride so that is fine for me but understand it may not be the best for all.

Live aboard wise I cannot speak highly enough about the Turk and Caicos Explorer II run by Explorer Ventures, great staff, good food, and up to 27 dives in the week.

Feel free to DM with questions about Turks

Haven’t done a live aboard in T&C, but I generally go once every other year. Caribbean diving is the perfect excuse for resort diving imo, unless you actively object to that. I’ve done diving through Seafari (they dock and operate out of the Club Med on Grand Turk) and have had nothing but good experiences over the years. I also love Club Med in general, so I might be biased. The best time to go and get a deal is during hurricane season. Even when there are storms (not hurricanes), the dive operators know which side(s) of the island to go to that will still have very calm seas.
