Did 3 days with Flamingo Divers on Provo. Great dive op. I highly recommend them. Jayne and Mickey only take small groups (8 max) and give you very personal service. They operate out of the south side marina which makes it easier to get to what are considered the better sites.

Overall Great diving. Mostly walls with nice reefs on top. Everything seemed pretty healthy. Saw lion fish but not as many as at GC last year. Saw lots of reef sharks almost every dive. Only saw 1 moray the whole trip but he was huge. Heard dolphins once but did not see any. Only a few lobster.

Saw very unusual Octopus behavior. Spotted a good size octopus swimming. As I went over to get a pic, he/she landed on a rock and tried to look like the rock. That was cool by itself. Got Mickey's attention and as he approached with his camera the octopus raised up exposing his underside to Mickey. On the surface Mickey said he'd never seen an octopus do that. The octopus had a small conch in it's beak. The only thing we could think of was the octopus was saying "take my meal but don't eat me".

Tropical storm Emily came by the last day and blew out the south side diving But Jayne arranged for me to dive with Turtle Divers out of Turtle Cove on the north side. Another very good Operation. Viz was down to 50-70 ft that day but still saw reef sharks and hawks bills. The north side sites are heavily used by the resorts and there should have been a traffic cop on the the second dive.

Temps were 84-85 f and viz was generally 80-100 ft.

Non diving stuff: Stayed at the Aquamarine beach houses which is centrally located on Grace bay. I can highly recommend them. Jon and Paula live on site and are very responsive to any issues but they also leave you alone to do you own thing. It's just west of all the resorts. It felt like we had our own private beach. 10-15 minute walk to either reef. 15 minute walk to "Somewhere." 3 minute drive to IGA. 2 minute drive to the Turtle Cove restaurants. Less than 10 minute drive to almost any other restaurants.

FOOD: We never had a bad meal anywhere and service was usually very good.

Coco Bistro-- Very very good food and experience. Expensive but worth it once.
Tiki Hut-- Very good food and service. Medium to lower priced.
Yohsi-- Surprisingly good sushi. I've never had good sushi in the Caribbean. This was very good and priced very similar to good sushi places in Minneapolis.

Somewhere at Coral Gardens-- Great spot to watch the sunset and grab sandwich on the beach. Inexpensive. The only problem were some "Jersey Shore wannabes" trying to have an early spring break.

Mango Reef at Alexandria resort-- Very good food and service. Priced like fine meal out in Minneapolis.
