Today's dive was with a friend who yesterday discovered a cache of 50 caliber ammunition from WW II. We collected a few of the rounds and left the rest. I estimate there were over 100 rounds, many still linked together.

my guess would be that the saltwater has found its way into
the powder, rendering it useless. i don't think it will be possible
to fire those things, accidentally or not.
 
Just wondering. I've heard of some of the shells found from WWII exploding after folks got them home.
