One issue you would have staying there would be getting to the DWM boat......I doubt they would pick you up at VTH/SS since they no longer have a pier and they way they get a boat in is pure crazy.....not sure if you could walk to and use the Casa Del Mar pier?

You could stay at Blue Angel - its pretty quaint and much better pier set up.

Lastly if you stayed at VTH - you MIGHT be able to get a wrist band for the week to use the Aquaworld pier (I do it but I stay at the Park Royal).

Just wanted to make you aware that Scuba Shack does not have a pier.....its like a ledge/remains of their old pier base lol.....its nuts. The big catamarans come in there to load up in the ams so it is crazy tight. I don't think any other op could make it in unless they were used to docking there.

When I was diving with Scuba Shack, getting in and out of the boat was really easy, far easier than the high pier at CDM. It was almost a level step from the cement to the boat. I've been picked up there and dropped off a very few times due to weather. I was diving with a different, small boat, dive op, and it was safer to get off there than at the CDM pier. Using the word "dock" or "pier" might be stretching it. I'd call it a "cove" maybe?

I don't hink you'll have a problem getting on a DWM boat at the CDM pier if there's a group staying at CDM, but you never know.

I know Roberta will let you use her office as well if she really likes you. :) Thats where the wifi router etc is.
