I am coming to CA on business and planned my trip around diving, of course. Today I received the call that Truth has cancelled. I need your advice on what to do now.

I am flying into San Diego on Saturday 10/30. Driving up and was to board the Truth for a 2 day trip. On Monday 11/1 I was heading back to San Diego and starting meetings on Tuesday night 11/2. Was going to try and get some shore diving in on Tuesday. Meetings for the rest of the week.

I liked the idea of the 2 day trip so I didn't have to mess with hotels, boats, tank refill, etc....

Now that the trip is cancelled, does anyone have any advice of how I can get some diving in without a lot of hassle.

Catalina or one of these boats.http://www.californiadiveboats.com/
If you go to Catalina give Scubaluv a call and rthey can arrange everything.http://www.scubaluv.com/

Do some wreck diving with the Lois Ann You can dive 2 wrecks.
http://www.loisann.com/schedule.html
15 min. boat ride to the wrecks then head to olde San Diego for a Mexican dinner and margaritas.
Or take a dive boat out of Long Beach/San Pedro to Catalina.
Maybe see some Giant Black Sea Bass.
Try the Bottom Scratcher. http://bottomscratcher.com/schedule.php
Or stay local and dive La jolla.
You've got a ton of options !

Go to the calif. dive boats page listed above, see what the Peace or the Spectre have running on your dates. Both boats will allow you to sleep overnite in between trips, so you don't have to worry about a hotel. In Ventura Harbor, slightly closer than Santa Barbara.

I know Capt Ray of the SUndiver has opened his boat overnite for out of town visitors, so you might want to give him a try as well.

It's the Wrinkles dive on Oct 30th, come down to La Jolla Shores and join us..........

Thanks for all the ideas.

I ended up cancelling my meetings on Tuesday and extending my diving to a three day trip on the Vision.

Can't let a small thing like work get in the way of diving!
