I am making a trip to Bonaire in August ( first time ). I have everything booked but the truck. Has anyone ever used Bencho Car Rental ? They are giving a price of 552 for 2 weeks. This does include CDW. Does this seem like a good price. Telerin was 734.00

thanks for any advice.

I have never heard of Bencho. Telerin is all I now use and don't think I would ever use anyone else. She is absolutely the BEST!!

With that type of price difference I'd really look hard to make sure the details are equal. Even so I'd still likely pick Telerin, absolutely the best vehicle rental company I've used anywhere in the world. The quickest pickup and drop off. Great all around service. On our last rental the passenger seat belt worked but was hard to use, one call to Poppy and she had them deliver a new truck. Plus she uses the model truck I like best of those used in Bonaire.

Try Poppy..its been a few years but a great outfit!

I have to chuckle every time anyone asks about a Bonaire car rental company other than Telerin. The Poppy fans come out of the bushes, ignore the OP questions, and try to convince the OP to rent from Telerin instead. (I've done this too.)

Looking at Bencho's web site they appear to be a low profile rental business operating out of their mechanic/repair business in Nikiboko. According to renter reviews on TripAdvisor and Fodor's the Bencho vehicles are older than average but mechanically sound (as should be expected from a rental company doubling as a repair business.) Their pricing model is to offer the 7th day free in weekly rental packages. This means 2 days free for a two week rental, which helps to explain the price difference between other rental companies.

AnnV, please come back and share your Bencho experience after your trip. As for me... I've already booked a truck from Telerin for my 3 week Dec/Jan visit. :auto:

although i am using poppy next time I have used AB Carrental previously (8-10 times)with no real issues. know nothing about Bencho Car Rental but will be most curious about your experience.
