If you have the opportunity to get a dorcy you should..you wont regret it. i would also recommend the UK Q40 eLED as a backup or if you need less light. I have both and together they make a real good clear water/night dive set up. The Dorcy gives you a pretty bright, focused, beam, great for signaling or looking at things farther away. The Q40 is less focused and less bright and works better for scanning close areas, and both can be had for around $100

OK, I dug mine out of the basement so I could get the full name (The one with the twin white light and one red beam).

UK C8 e led plus. That is by far my favorite torch. Looks like it is the 8 battery version of Jbell8289's light except I don't see a "Q" on it.

I'm hesitant about buying a SL4. Bought 2 last year. On my daughter's first dive (night, ~ 20') the light lasted for ~ 5 minutes then went out. Could not get to come back on.

Once we got back to the room, unscrewed cap with a small explosion with battery "water" going everywhere (glad I was wearing my glasses :D).

Somehow, leaked and shorted everything out. I'm not interested in repeating. This could have been operator error but she and I checked it before the dive and the dive instructor also checked it prior to getting in the water.
