I just did that. Seems we'll just miss each other in May.

Looks like I'll be missing quite a few by a week. Oh well, I couldn't have done the week before anyway.

On a side note, since so many of us will be headed that way soon...

Christi, or any other locals, is there anything we can pack and bring? I.E. Any items that are hard to get there in general or since Wilma that would be a big help?

Bear in mind that I'll be traveleing with a toddler so I'll be traveleing heavy :)

Will be there in July, hopefull will see some SBers!

Wish I had a trip to CZM lined up so I could post it. My next planned trip it to the Channel Islands for a 3 day liveaboard on Truth Aquatic's "Vision", but that isn't until September. :(

It was nice meeting you last year James, but it looks like we'll miss by a few days this year.

jpomerantz: We'll be diving together!

Good to meet you last year as well, though we only got, was it 1 dive together? IIRC we also bumped into each other at a restraunt...

Sorry I'll miss you this year...just bad timing. To be honest this years trip is a gift, I didn't think that a diving trip would be possible at all this year but I miscalculated on our adoption...next year we'll be in China for two weeks and won't be albe to do a dive vacation...the extra time in the process has allowed us to return to my home away from home!

Are you adopting a Chinese baby girl? A friend of mine here in Austin did that a couple of years ago, and he and his wife are delighted with the program and with their new daughter. I think it's great!

Girl or boy, 99% chance it will be a girl but boys do happen on occation so we told them to surprise us. It's a long process, probably won't be traveling until around June of 07.

My childrens pediatrician has adopted 3 little girls from China. He returns to the same orphanage every 2 - 3 years. I think he started out doing volunteer work there.
