Hey Marek,

Sorry I didn't answer your question in the other thread. The price from Vietnam is 165.95 or something close to it. Shipping is 65 via DHL international. Even with that the price it was only twenty dollars more than the Orion. It is still a great price by any means. I dont know if metal even if its stainless steel is good fore the long run, the inflator button still feels very sturdy. The mouth piece for oral inflation is also better designed. I think the Cratos was ordered for retail in Britain by a store, and Triple L made so many they decided to sell it on their international site, they do sell the ORION 3 which is exactly the same model as the US version. Thats even cheaper.

Regards,

Thomas

if anyone get a big order together and order international, the shipping wont be so bad. but how do we seperate the gear for each person

Hey all,

New guy here!

I have looked all over for a new BC and at some point i got mostly set to get an Oceanic Outrigger ($$) until i stumbled upon the ScubaL guys and their product, the Orion 3 / Cratos BCD. I'll be honets, i got really intrigued by the ScubaL products, especialy due to mostly positive reviews and awe$ome price.

I meticulously read everything said in this thread and finally took a plunge to talk to the ScubaL guys over the live chat feature on the site.. I was talking to David who was very nice and informative and helped me with the info i could not find anywhere else.

So here it is with minor edits:

You are chatting with David

You Hi David
David Morning Eugene
David how's everything going?>
You Its going fine, shopping for a BCD and recently was refered to your site... My two main questions are: What is the difference betwen the Orion on the US site, Orion 3 on Asia site, and Cratos on the Asia site? What is the material used to manufacture internal bladder?
David the different between the three bcds are Orion use an OLD inflator which we no longer use
David Cratos and Orion 3 are the same, the different between these two are the logos
David and Cratos has a CE certification.
You So the the obvious question is when would i be able to purchase the Orion (or Cratos) with the new design inflator from the US site
David we will not use the new inflator for usa site. it's a little lengthy to explain to you
You Understood.
David we have two warehouse, one in usa and one in Asia
David we will ship all new design from our Asia warehouse, so if you want to buy the new thing, you can order from asia warehouse
You 3 final questions... What is the material used for the Cratos internal bladder, Could it be used with Double tanks, and finally does your shipping charge from Asia depend on the items ordered?
David you can ask any many questions as you want to
David material for inner bladder is 210 Denier
David outside bladder is 840 Denier
David no, we don't intend to make the cratos to work with double tanks
David yes, the more items you order, the more shipping cost you will save. I think you got a prob with the hood. you can try to delete the hood out of the shopping cart and try with other items, you will see what i said

I decided to omit a few lines from the Live Chat log for privacy reasons (Shipping cost calculation error)

David You're welcome. pls get me an Bank transfer order in case you have a prob. We'll be back with you shortly
David Have a great day
You You too David

Cheers to all and i hope this helps.

I've been diving a Triple 'L' Gemini BCD for about a year now and I'm very happy with it. As an Instructor it gives me everything I need/want in a BCD. Very well made. The double bladder took a little getting used to, but, doesn't everything?

I bought a Pegasus last year when I was first certified and have been extremely happy with it. I'm not fanatical about care, but I rinse it after a day of diving, check seals, etc. No frayed seams, no parts falling off. The only negatives I can think of are not enough D-rings, and only one small pocket. Would buy another one in an instant and do not hesitate to reccomend them.

As an Instructor I need to be able to depend on my gear. That being said, I own a Gemini by Triple L. I couldn't be happier. I also had a 5mil wetsuit made for the wife as she couldn't fit into any shelf model (kinda skinny) It fit perfectly. Everything was made very well and I would recommend them to anyone. Threading the tank bands can be a pain, but, when I started diving (courtesy of the USN) there were no BCD's just horse collars and backpacks. Patience is the key and thinking in 3D.

Good luck, DV2 Scuberdu

now for question #2. They are out of the Libra in my size on the US website, but they have plenty on the international site. Have any US owners ordered from the international site? Any advice?

Im thinking about nabbing these for me and my wife but we have been training with the Seaquest Stabilizing kind not back bladder. Is it really that much different? Why are so many of you guys preferring the back bladded to the vest style?

So glad to hear about this company, love the value! Now I need to find a great Regulator.
