We stayed at True Blue for a few days after a liveaboard trip but decided to veg and see the island (which I found much more interesting as a place than most Caribbean destinations I've been to) rather than doing more diving land-based. So we didn't actually dive with the on-site op Aquanauts. But I've always heard good things about them, and got a good vibe from checking out the shop and also a chat with the owner at a cocktail party. While I haven't researched other options completely (or lately), staying and diving there seemed like one of the best or maybe the best option if you're focused mostly on diving. The hotel is slightly quirky (mostly in a good way) and I would stay there again, though checking out a different resort on the island would also be tempting to me. TB is located kind of off on it's own away from most of the other resorts and restaurants and everything, for better or worse. The food at TB was unexpectedly some of the better we had on the island.
