Can you tell me the names of the crew people? I bet i know some of them?
Oli, Steffen, Shane, Ari, Arek - any of those?

Arek was on my crew back in early October... With Yuki as instructor for the AOW course I took. The OW instructors were usually so wrapped up with the OW students I didn't really interact with them much.

""The day boats out of Cairns will motor a pretty long way to bring you to mediocre dive sites. Consider a liveaboard.""

I agree. We did a few days on Quicksilver Silversonic out of Port Douglas. We were super-chaperoned by Divemaster Tash with a very short leash. Ho hum.

I wish I'd chosen a liveaboard to Osprey.

Bring your own mask, fins, wetsuit and computer and you'll be good to go.
Shore based diving --forget about it.

We followed our stay with 7 days about the Nimrod liveaboard which can highly recommend.
