Wife and I were cruising and stopped off in St. Croix and heard the diving was good. We looked for some info here and ended up diving with St. Croix Ultimate Bluewater Adventure (SCUBA). We were very happy with our choice. We had great communication in advance with all information sent via email. When we arrived we simply walked to the end of the cruise ship pier and the dive boat was waiting for us (there is even a free shuttle if you don't want to walk 150 yards). We had 2 DM's and the boat captain (John, Andi, Jeff) and 4 other divers. We got on the boat and turns out they had the wrong size wetsuit for me so we walked 2 minutes to a shop and got a bigger size so it was quick and easy and not an issue at all.
When we got out to the first dive site the dive operator used by the cruise ship was already there with about 20 divers on board. First, we were glad we had only 6 divers on our boat so we smartly chose another dive spot: Deep Wrecks at Butler Bay which was 2 wrecks at about 95 and 65 feet. One of the DM's was spearfishing lionfish which was fun to watch. We also saw about 6 stingrays amongst a bunch of other wildlife.
After a short SI with some provided pineapple we went to a reef and had a nice relaxing dive. Some folks ran out of air within 30 mins and went up and they had no problem with us staying down. After 45 minutes we got cold so headed back to the boat. Had a good time talking with the staff on the short ride back to the pier.
I didn't see it during the dive but my wife took a picture of the bottom of a tank (attached) and you'll get a laugh.

We thought ahead and brought some scones from the cruise ship for our SI but we had 3 extra so we gave them to the DM's and captain and they were extremely appreciative. I think they enjoyed them more than the cash tip!
However, the best part was after the dive. That night back on the cruise ship I realized that I left my dive light on the boat. When we got to the next port I already had an email from Molly in the office letting me know they had my light and were mailing it back to me at no charge. I even offered to pay for shipping and they said they would do it for free!! I was very impressed with this top notch service and would DEFINITELY recommend SCUBA to anyone that wants to dive in St. Croix. I hear the diving from their main shop is even better than from the cruise ship pier. If you are visiting St. Croix on a cruise ship, go ahead and book with SCUBA right now!
