Thanks for all your replies, I'm planning my next dive trip already, yes it will be Sharm or Hurghada, smaller operator, liveaboard, with an itinerary published on the their website, so I'm pretty sure to be getting what I want, and I've asked all the checklist questions and they state clearly that a minimum of 50 logged dives are required, a good sign!
I'll post another trip report when I return, here's hoping for some good dives, Rob
