Thank you for the trip report. Did you drive from CA? How long does it take from the border?

Andrew

I prefer to drive as little as possible in Mexico. I flew non-stop from Oakland California.

Oh.....is it that bad?

I do rent a car and drive when I'm in the Los Cabos area as it is really spread out down there. But in general driving in Mexico for non-residents is sometimes not the best idea, IMO.

Driving in Mexico varies like mileage. The roads are decent down the peninsula, in my opinion. (Incidentally, I can also tell you that driving on the Sonora [mainland] side, like from Arizona, down to the Sea of Cortez is via good highway.)

However, bear in mind that Baja is almost as long as Italy. Therefore, ask yourself: do you wanna dive, drive, and dive?; or do you wanna drive, drive, and dive?

Too much driving and not enough diving......but I have a girl to do that!

Thanks for the info on you Cabo trip! I'm going in mid Novemeber, what should I bring...3mm, or 6mm?

Can't wait to hear about your next trip in 9 days!

I use a 3 mil full, plenty of tiny jellies in that water.
