Care to elaborate? You're killing us! 8-)

OK Landed in costa Maya, took the 9.5 km trip to Maya Palms...$15 taxi ride on a sand/beach road. $75, 2 tank reef dive with 2 other people and DM from Texas/Ron.
The guy tried to suck up the ocean and got sick so 2nd dive was just the 3 of us. Took it down to 100' first dive and 58 ' the second. small boat, overcast/rainy day 75 degrees, water warm enough for no wet suit, 79 at top 78 at 100' down....Lotsa fish , stone crabs and 3 spotted eels.`Reef formations to 30 feet high.Almost no current took dove boat from the Beach.....rental equipment was new and Sherwood/scuba pro brands(used my own)Came back as the taxi reappeared and $20 all the way back to the ship in plenty of time(the ships dive was $150 at Dreamtime) RUSTIC

Skipped belize, water too rough and ear problems

PDC dove with Tank-ha, tendering issues so we missed cutoff time for CENOTES diving ...$65 ...2 tank dove Tortugas and Barracudas 93 foot at Tortugas and imagine this, a pot full of huge turtles!!!!....Saw the biggest eel of my life ( thus far) Body was the size of a basketball, length I am not going to guess.Water running at about 2.5 mph south and still warmer in the water than out, 77-80 degrees DM was Stephen from Holland he's been there 8 years 7 total to dive they would not take more than 8...equipment was used but in good shape, boat looked almost new 3-5 years old)

dive with Dive with Martin on the International pier $65 there also. The 5, 4, 3 of us ( one thought she woulddive, did not get off the boat, the n one had an ear problem and didn't go the 2nd dive) dove the Palancar, Devils throat and then tormentos Amazing- chukanub was damaged by Wilma, ;lots of sand so did not dive there...no and I mean no current, fabulous day! And not just a "sightseeing" dive. Goofed practicing our air rings at deco stop;)

all places were booked NOT with the Ship, ALOT less expensive, and no cattle boat operations...

The overall cruise was good, lotsa folks 25-40, and while the Average was probably 50 there was a lot ( about 1/3 ) that were in the high 20's to early 30 range...Doesn't matter much to me as my wife and my average age is 45...and the old folks did their thing, but no it is not a Singles cruise

is that enough details??:06:

Thanks for the trip report, Billellou - It was my first cruise, and I definately learned that you can save some serious $$$ booking yourself. Like I said, the cruise was so/so but the diving was great.
