I just finished my 2 week stay in Cozumel at the Casa Mexicana. I dove 2 morning dives with Aldora except the one day when the harbor master closed the port after one dive and October 8th when I went to Playa and dove cenotes. Everything was the same as usual at Casa Mexican a except they don't have bacon every other day at breakfast-it is more like every third or even fourth day. But the eggs seem even bigger. The diving with Aldora was great. My equipment was well taken care of, and they fixed the two minor issues that came up. I dove with 3 different DMs, Julio, Fernando, and Rodrigo. All consulted us about dive sites. I was put in appropriate groups, and everyone was on nitrox. Over half my dives were 80 minutes or longer, and I had a 90, 93, 95, and 105 minute dive. I got to dive the Cathedral at Punta Sur, and do a bunch of swim thrus at Palancar Caves. There were numerous highlights, but the stars were seeing the orange sea horse 3 times,,seeing a frogfish, seeing 3 eagle rays for 10 minutes who at one point swam right over my head, seeing some enormous turtles and nurse sharks, and seeing 5 baby reef sharks at once. I also dove Zapote and lingua with Rigo Amador, thecenoteguide.com, who did an amazing job of showing me Hells Bells. It was my best diving trip ever.
