:06: We are planning to dive the STAV while in Barbados in October. I only want to take one pair of fins for me & one pair for hubby. Should we take the snorkel full foot fins or the open heels with our dive boots? We plan to do both diving and some snorkeling with some non diving friends that are going with us.

If shore dives are involved, I suggest boots and open heel. JMO

I agree with JetW on this one. Always nice to have that extra bit of protection on the feet. I would also take my own mask and snorkel as I never know how well they clean those things after other people have used them. Plus I have the comfort of being familiar with my own equipment. Like an old freind of mine once said, "My germs work for ME!"

Enjoy your trip and great diving.
