the left latex wrist seal on my neoprene drysuit is showing signs of degradation at the very end of the seal, just along the edge causing a very slight leak.
i'm thinking of trimming an 1/8" - 3/16" off the end to remove the degraded edge.
i'll use a shape pr of scissors and do a straight cut.
i'm trying to make the seal last until the end of the season then get it replaced.
is there anything i should do or avoid doing when trimming a latex wrist seal.
thanks guys.

Sounds like you got the right idea. Just make one continuous cut as straight as possible. That's it. Pretty simple.

I cut a little at a time. You can always cut more. You can't cut less.

thanks for your answer
i used a flat ceramic tile as a cutting surface, a steel ruler straight edge, and a new razor blade
lined up the edges of the latex seal
squeezed the seal between the tile and straight edge ruler
used the razor to get a nice straight cut and smooth edge
no more degraded leading edge, hopefully no more damp forearm
now all i have to do is try it out
