This one is worth a :bump:I've been following this thread with interest. I find any thread that Ken, TS&M and a few others who have posted here is always worth the time spent reading it:worship: thanks

I will admit I haven't read all the responses. However, your logic is not to teach people options when running out of air i.e. buddy share. I think that would be foolish. What if someone pays attention to their spg and it gives an inaccurate reading? It may be rare, but it has happened. Hence, they thought they had plenty of air but actually don't. Imagine they are at depth and CESA would be super risky. This person deserves to know how to buddy share. Buddy sharing is not rocket science and has saved many lives.

It sounds to me as if you're trying to regulate things to save stupid people from themselves; trust me, it won't work.

36 pages of responses...wow...haven't read all of 'em...but working on it.

I agree with ROBBCAYMAN. when will people stop legislating based on a tiny minority of stupid people??? (that goes for the government as well)!!!

While I am positive that there are people who just take their safety, and life, for granted and have to deal with the consequences...there are those who have real and unexpected equipment failures or acts of God who nobody can predict. It is for THOSE people that all the safety and emergency procedures are written!

I, my wife, daughter, and son, adhere to "safe" diving standards and would rather have the emergency information and not need it, than need it and not have it.

Keep all the info in the classes!!!!!

Vote those who would over-legislate out of office...whether in a SCUBA organization or the real government!!!
