If you were visiting foreign parts, and are were not familiar with the dive organisation would you
1. Avoid Enriched Air
2. Carry your own gas analyser
Other sugestions welcome. :06:
I am thinking of taking the c card, however as I do all my diving on trips I am not sure how usefull it will be.

I bought one of the Oxycheq analyzers.

That was my next question.
Who's do you recommend?

If a place offers nitrox (enriched air) they will have an analyzer. If they don't - then dive air. - Actually - most places I've been to that offer nitrox - MAKE YOU analyze the tanks (with their analyzer), and log it in their book.

Otherwise - do what everyone else says and get your own. Which isn't a bad idea... but if you're not ready to invest in an analyzer yet....

Always analyze your tanks before diving, regardless of whether they were filled by a place you don't trust, a place you do trust, your buddy or yourself.

In fact, you should analyze the tanks even if they're only supposed to be 21%. You just never know.

We carry our own analyzer regardless of where we dive. Don't have to wait in line to use the "boat" analyzer and we know how ours has been handled.
