Hey all-
Is a crotch strap required for a diverite transpac2? I picked up one last night for the wife and it doesn’t have one. (I thought the dealer said it came with one) hmmmm … I’m not worried about using it for a scooter or rigging gear on the “ buttring” (we’re not tech divers) , just concerned with safety (and comfort)
Let me know what you think
Thanks

It's not required, but it does make the whole rig feel like part of you when its used.

They are usually sold as a separate part and cost a whole separate $9.99

Cut me and I bleed Dive Rite, I just dont like that they never include those little things.

Mine did't come with one.
But I would definitely suggest one as a real soon purchase.
The Transpac is much easier to trim out with one.
Because the whole Rig is always in the same location on diver.
Without one it is hard to achieve perfect trim and comfort.
It isn't like the Jacket BCD's where you just inflate to secure(& sqeeze)
But, that is the whole reason to have one.
Good Luck

I twist and/or roll on my side or upside down sometimes when taking pictures and I think the strap helps.

I have the 1" strap on my transplate, it only comes with a scooter ring no "butt ring". The ring in the front is also real nice for holding stuff (light, catch bag) temporarily when you need two hands for something.

thanks all
i went back to dealer and he gave me one (no charge) said much the same as ya'll
