A dumb question occasionaly needs to be asked. I got my new Transpack all set up and ready to go and decided to try their integrated weight system. Holsters were all mounted and ready to go when I realize something is weird. There is the usual velcro on the weight pouch to hold it in the holster but there is also a 1" nylon strap with a quick release buckle.
Do you snap the buckle to truly secure the pouch inside and make it "semi" unreleasable (you'd have to simply release the buckle) or do you unhook the buckle and tuck the strap in behind the pouch? Then when you grab and pull the release handle it all comes out and loose. Disadvantage of unsnapped is a lose, floppy fit and risk of losing a pouch ifinverted etc if the velcro isn't firm.
I still can't dive due to my shoulder so I can't experiment but am getting closer.
Inquiring minds want to know...
