Can i turn my transpac pieces into use for a transplate, in other words can i use the shoulder straps and waist straps from my transpac and use an aluminum or steel plate instead of buying a whole new system?

I have both the transpac and the hard SS plate with transplate harness, and the straps from the transpac are not compatible with the hard plate. I had to get a separate harness for the hard plate.
The waist straps on the transpac is sewn onto the soft transpac backplate and the waist straps on the transplate are separate so that they can be looped around the slots on the hard plate. Same thing with the shoulder straps.
