A friend and i are wanting to take the train to chicago from mid missouri to do some diving. Where and how can we get to a good site? from union station can i take the bus, cab, subway? looking for cheapest route, thanks...

In Chicago, the charter boats leave from Burnham Park Harbor. You can get there from the train station by bus or taxi. If you are lugging dive equipment, a cab would be the better choice.

If you want to travel a little farther north, you can take the train to Waukegan. There, the train station is only about two blocks from the harbor. You can go to the harbor and pick up a dock cart or two and bring them to the station to carry your gear to the boat.
