No torque wrench is better than a cheap torque wrench. Or a luggage scale attached to an adjustable wrench.
I hear you on that, and myself- I tend to go for quality tools. On the other hand, 94% of the people who bought the 1/4" model rated in inch pounds give it either four or five stars. Now maybe these people aren't mechanics, and they are just wrong. Or maybe the reviews are padded. But it makes me wonder, and at $24.98 after the coupon and "free" prime shipping that will bring it tomorrow- I'm kinda tempted. Maybe I should buy it and then compare results to my stepdad's Snap-On torque wrench that he uses for transmission work? Eeeeeek I don't want to piss him off though.

I live in Europe unfortunately. I think I will get this one. What do you think? Seems good.

Is that 3/8 inch drive rated for foot pounds? I think you want the one that is 1/4" drive and rated in inch-pounds.

I tend to give less than zero credibility to any amazon review.

The SK Tools equivalent torque wrench only has 87% 4 and 5 star reviews.

A chimpanzee would be able to tell the difference between SK and chinese stuff.

To the OP: if you need to service several regs regularly (i.e. you do that professionally ) then you'd better get the torque wrench. If you need it only for your regs (meaning you will probably need it once every two to tree years) then you can do the thing with a luggage scale, a level and some basic maths.

BTW kalosirthes sto SB!

I got one cheap Chinese 5-60Nm wrench from Ali. So far so good.

No clue what you want to torque at the 2nd stage...
