Merry Passage and I didn't find the Acanthodoris rhodoceras we were looking for, but we had a few surprises. A new Sarcastic Fringehead has moved into one of the sand screws. Merry found the largest Lizardfish ever, about 16-18" long. While photographing a Spanish Shawl laying eggs, she attracted the attention of the largest Red Octopus ever.
Merry took a few shots, then backed away so I could have a turn. The octopus crawled to the right, where it met an even bigger Red Octopus. The second was the size of a softball.
I found a tiny animal that I thought was a juvenile sea cucumber. Merry's not so sure. I've got some homework to do tonight.
