Just as an aside Amy, at least for me, the DC rings are the biggest PITA to install that I've seen - especially when compared to the Si-Tec squeezes-on rings. I'd suggest that the Si-Tec squeezes-on are the answer you are looking for, actually.
And the new Si-Tec rings? Waaaay too expensive and kind of flaily to use, I'll stick with the squeezes-on.
As for Tyler's question....hmmm.... I can think of a few things that the Whites are missing, that other manufacturers feature:
- Mystery leaks that come and go
- Service from the factory that takes a month or two, and still leaks when returned
- Prices in the stratosphere
- "You'll take what we offer because we know better than you"
- Lack of innovation - same-old-same-old
In all honesty, as a drysuit manufacturer, all I can think of is flat, adhered to the suit pocket on suits like the 360 and Legend. When I was considering the 360, I was dreading the plate and pocket combo - it's a line catcher and not as easy to open and cram stuff into.
Oh, yes - I'm drooling over the Otter Bay 12mm drysuit hood.
All the best, James
Edit: I guess what I'm trying to say (in a tounge-in-cheek kind of way) is that there's lots of stuff that Whites is doing right, that the others are doing wrong, and don't neglect your strengths.
