When are you arriiving in Curacao? We will be arriving on Nov 11. We will be staying in the west near OEW at a place called Marazula Dive Resort. We are in the processing of purchasing a condo at this resort and should actually own it by the time we arrive. We dive the west end every time we come to Curacao, and it is the BEST diving!! The best boat dive is by far Watamula. OEW offers this dive several time a week. You should also try the Superior Producer.
Shore dive favorites are Playa Largo and Shone Mosa, they are 2 that are close together, not to many people go to these sites because they are a little remote...but well worth the drive. Cas Abou is my favorite shore dive, always see rays there, but there is a small fee to get in. It is a beautiful beach and they have falicities .Playa Kalki has a site called Alice in Wonderland and it is a great site. OEW is right there and one of the best dive ops on island. . Hope you have a great time!

cravin curacao,
can you tell us a bit more about Marazula Dive Resort? Stayed at ALL WEST this past November and walked past Marazula Dive Resort many times but as its gated didn't stop in. Also not much happening then or so it looked. curious may need a different place to stay on our next trip (mar 2012). really liked All West and the dive right in front (fyi).

Hi everybody,

oke diving curacao's calm westcoast is really nice but seriously ask any instructor on curacao where they would like to go on there day off and they will tell you to go all the way east. Watch this short clip and find out why!

This is for experienced and physically fit divers only, conditions can be challenging.

Here goes a list of my favorite dive sites on Curacao; it's hard to build up a ranking, all of them are beautiful in quite different ways, and no-one can give you a guarantee at any of them for what to see on a specific day at a specific time (well, Rediho City has been a quite secure bet for seahorses for a long time)

Boat:
Rediho City, Scooter (aka Duane's Release), Mako's Mountain, Seldom, Watamula, Eastpoint, Sponge Forest, Kortape, Elvin's Plane Wreck (don't get confused: yes, there is a wreck, but the attraction of the site is the reef, not the plane)

Shore:
San Juan area (Playa Largu, Playa Shon Mosa, Playa Mansalina), Playa Piscadó (All West house reef), Playa Kalki (OEW house reef), Marie Pompun (Dive Bus house reef), Playa Lagún, Director's Bay, Porto Marie, Superior Producer (ship wreck)

we enjoyed all the diving on Curacao. Playa Manzalino is 1 of 3 sites on and old plantation property it is adventerous and way off the road but worth it. you pay the man 5 gild at the old farm house to get in. we had the beaches all to ourselves and the diving was great. you can spend all day there and hit 3 different sites. there is also a place just down from wetsuit city, it is a very small rocky beach, but the drop off is close to shore and the diving is like fingers droping down to the abyss.

Watamula, Elvin's Plane Wreck by boat, Alice in Wonderland/Playa Kalki (to the right) by shore.

Good diving, Craig
