Hey

I'm currently in St Pete, and was actually looking forward to do some diving. Flying back home to Europe the 28th of January 2008. But the diving centers I've talked to all say it's too windy for diving in the Gulf (which I guess is true).

So instead of me just spending time raiding the mini-bar, or (heaven forbid) go shopping or sightseeing - are there any of you guys out there who know of any places which are in fact divable these days, like inland springs, lakes etc, and are looking for a buddy? I'm staying at the TradeWinds Restort at St Pete Beach itself, and don't have a car, but I would contribute to transport expenses of course.

I would feel a little annoyed going back home with all gear without getting in the water at least once!

Tnx

Ole

Hey olmic, check back with the LDS tomorrow or later in the week. The winds should be lower in the next few days. Check local weather forecast to see when the winds will be around 10 knots Otherwise, most of the springs are about 2 or 2 1/2 hours north from you.

Hope you enjoy your stay here in the states!

Good Luck!

The Weather Gods might hold back for us on Sunday, and as of this second, looks to be a decent day. Check the following link to watch the seas in St. Pete.
Marine Forecast : Weather Underground

PS Keep in mind that just like the forcaster's on land, the closer to the day, the more accurate
Hope you are able to get out
