I've never been below 115fsw. That said, there's something about being in that dark, quiet place. You go around the wreck and wonder at what had happened on the decks, or who was in this area of the ship or that one. I find the deeper wreck dives more peaceful than the shallower reef dives. Not sure why, I just do.

You always have a choice...

well... yeah... i'm not saying you HAVE to dive deep.

look at my "if" construction in that sentence, and you'll see
you're taking my statement out of context

;)

said I:

if you want to explore the deep portions, you have no choice.

(i.e. you either dive deep or you don't explore the deep places)

remember the context of this whoe discussion: why go deep?

my answer was, that *if* you want to explore certain tunnels, you have to go deep.
you have no choice *if* you want to explore those tunnels.

Come on Snowy. Its not that hard. The key is in the two *if*'s. :)

snow, it's like saying that *if* you want to explore the Doria, you have to
dive in the Atlantic.

now, you don't HAVE to explore the Doria. But *if* you decide to dive the Doria,
you have no choice but to dive in the Atlantic.

at any rate... now that we've managed to really hijack this thread... :eyebrow:

we now return you to the question:

why go deep?

nope... the question was, "what have you seen below 130', that I can't see above 130'?" (obviously... only folks who've dived below 130' could answer)
