planning to go to Monterey tomorrow (JAN-31-2010) - either Lowers Point 2 or McAbee Beach.

Did anybody go today, how is the vizibility?

thank you

p.s. of course you can join me and my buddy if you want tomorrow

Thursday we had about 15 feet at the barge by Breakwater. One of the other locals dove there today and said it was about the same. I would imagine McAbee would be about the same.

Ballbuster on the other hand was about 30 feet on Thursday.

Have fun!

10'+ at BW yesterday & today. Jellies start at 45' and get thicker deeper.

Vis was a little better yesterday than Saturday. We had about 30 ft at The Needle/Half-Dome, and about the same in Moss Cove (between Point Lobos and Monastery). Surge seemed worse than on Saturday, but wind chop was less as the day went on.

Dove BW Friday night, Saturday afternoon, and yesterday morning. 10-15'ish all 3 days. Weather forecast on Intellicast this morning said that it was supposed to rain tomorrow through this coming Sunday, so I'd get in today if you can.
