From a healthcare providers point of veiw. Give it up quick. I've seen people drowning in there own pulmonory fluids due to years of tobacco use. They smoke for 50 yrs then quit and they expect that by quiting their bodys are ok. But it's all that damage done and old age why they can't breath. I've also seen people smoke and use home oxygen. The worst case I've seen was this guy who smoked then used an Inhaler(those used by asthma patient). It's your health, your future and your family that will be affected.

webmonkey, you know, there is an old saying, beggers can't be chosey. If you need air are you going to refuse it because some one who's dipping donates. Worse yet would you refuse your buddy air and let him drown because of whats in his mouth.

Hope you never choke while eating sushi or something along those lines. God forbid the person who comes to your aid may not want to help because they didn't like the food you eating.

ScubaRanger,

We are not smokers, we're "Smokeless". Our lips may rot off but I don't think our lungs will give us any problems.

That's a different topic, since I make sure I don't run out, however I would take it if there were no other option.

I'd be happy to give him my spare, but would bring it in and have it cleaned after.

However, this was a class and the instructor has every right to forbid the use of anything he wants to during class.

Gedunk,
add stomach If your swallowing all that, that can't be good. Have you seen some one who has had esophagus cancer or some one who has had their lips, jaw and gums removed due to smokeless tobacco not pretty. Not to be sarcastic but I guess it would be hard to hold a reg in your mouth.

Yeah, any cancer is bad mojo.

A driving force for me was just that, an older friend had to have a chunk of jaw removed. It is not pretty to say the least. Quite a motivator it was.
