Yes, tends to slow one down so they see more. I don’t use a big fancy strobes type camera just a sealife, I always say I’m a diver that takes pictures not a photographer who dives.

Same here. I enjoy dives with or without camera. No difference in diving, except I am lazier without camera so AC is a bit better but not enough to effect anything. I do really enjoy looking through my photos afterwards.

That's kinda what I mean by I have nothing to prove and the not. My business quote. I np longer care if any one believes me or not.
I agree but when you tell someone who dives there all the time that you saw something they never have, who just won’t believe it, it’s nice to have evidence.

I wear-don't wear a paralenz on the side of my head hoping that it is working, it affected my dives at the start

Had to block the right exhaust for bubbles and in interesting circumstances it causes mask squirt or leak

There it is, I actually have the video of the dude taking this shot with a huge submarine looking camera thing

Don't know where the videos are stored have only watched two hours worth of dozens and dozens and dozens

No one has seen them they might be good to watch when I'm old and greyer might buy a couple of vaquitas

When I mention to my wife something about what "other people" are thinking or doing, she often likes to say, "'Other people' are over-rated." I suppose she's right. All I really need to care about is what my dive buddy (usually my wife) and I saw on the dive. It's not like I'm there to document what I saw.

the one I lost was a paralenz. Heartbreaking. They are out of business. Make other plans Mike kasted about 3 years maybe 100 dives.

Ha ha ha ha ha try and stay ahead of the bad mad world chief

Ha ah ah ha, what is mad is I sanded the gloss off the silicone skirt and the frame inside and out
and what's bad is I just blasted 1200 out my arse on a couple of Vaquitas just to sit in the drawer

So if you catch me laying in the dirt, taking photos of toxic slugs, turn off my air and weld it shut

Who's cominig over for my next nudi fry-up, you're all invited

I'm not sure I understand any of this......

Yes. I take pics for me. I like finding IDs for the little things I find, and without a pic I'm stuck trying to describe it. I also like overcoming the challenges that work against me getting 'that shot'. When I do a trip report I share a few shots, and I share them on a private Dive FB page to fellow divers (and I AM stupid proud when someone says 'great shot' - but that's not my big motivator). I sometimes think about framing some pics to put in my home office (where nobody but me would see them). I really value the ones of critters I found 'all by myself'. If someone else finds them I feel like I'm 'cheating'! So I guess it's about the hunt as well? I lost my camera on the first day of a 7 day trip and missed it terribly on that trip. Maybe I'm a little addicted. But hey, as far as I know there aren't any rehab programs for it so it's an ok addiction? Right? Right???????
