I have heard of a bridge that was left intact when Chilhowee Lake was formed. Then a yellow Jeep CJ5 on the bridge in 25-35 feet of water. Has anyone heard or seen the Jeep? Would make a great pic behind the wheel and a great ad for aftermarket companies selling snorkels and water fording equipment for 4x4s.

If not, anything interesting in East Tennessee?

Thanks all!

Really. If it were a Jeep, it could totally drive out of that! ;)

CJ 5's were built when Jeep was owned by AMC, which explains why that one would still be there.

If it is supposed to be on a sunken bridge and the water is only 7 feet deep I'd think it would be pretty easy to verify from the surface.

There is some misinformation from the link traker provided. It lists max depth at 7 feet. The lake is greater than 100 feet in spots. I am not sure of the average depth due to it being in a valley flooded for TVA/ALCOA plants. I tracked down someone who has dove the Jeep. As it warms up, Ill head down that way and see for myself, hopefully with pics to boot.
