Tamas:
With the fire from the fireworks up above me
With a gun for a lover and a shot for the pain at hand
You run for cover in the temple of love
You run for another but still the same
For the wind will blow my name across this land

easy as pie!

sisters of mercy, temple of love

(nice title in the lyrics btw)

Bobby's alright, yeah Bobby's alright
He's a natural born poet, he's just outta sight
he's got automatic shoes
he's got 3D-vision and the California Blues

Is it T - Rex, Telegram Sam? Love Mark Bolin's playing...think I remember that song.

If so, how about...

"A night I walk the stinkin streets
Past the crazys on my block
And I see the same old faces
And hear the same old talk"

Mean Streets (Van Halen)

Here's my contribution:

Have you ever thought about your soul? can it be saved?
Or perhaps you think that when you are dead you just stay in your grave

i have no clue...

Squashie: it is Telegram Sam, but i thought that was a Bauhaus song?? live
and learn

I seem to remember it as a T-Rex song, way back when...but, that's ok...back on page 1 or 2, I thought that the song "A Boy Named Sue" was a Johnny Cash song...seems like many of the songs have been covered by one or more artists...variety, the spice of life.

Green_Manelishi:

Or perhaps you think that when you are dead you just stay in your grave

Once again, back to the vinyl...I know this is either Ozzy or Black Sabbath...but can't place the song exactly...Paraphrasing Dr. "Bones" McCoy; "Damn it Manelishi...I'm a guitar player, not a jukebox!" :11doh:

Now if my photographic memory (i.e. sense of hearing) worked on printed materials instead of audio stimulation this would be easier...since i always read the liner notes & lyrics on albums, cd's...etc.

ahh, you're right... it's after forever from the sabbath days.
i would have got it sooner if he quoted the part about the pope.

this one is only a few years old...

pearls and swine bereft of me
long and weary my road has been
i was lost in the cities, alone in the hills
no sorrow or pity for leaving i feel

i am not your rolling wheels...

XJae:
pearls and swine bereft of me
long and weary my road has been
i was lost in the cities, alone in the hills
no sorrow or pity for leaving i feel

i am not your rolling wheels...

... i am the highway

nice (almost) title in the song... Audioslave, "I am the Highway"

I'm self-righteous, pretentious,
and politically correct
My views are slightly to the left
of Karl Marx and Bertolt Brecht
and I've even considered joining a Buddhist sect
'cause I'm just so damn hip.
