As a shopper you need to make a distinction between the regular Titan and the balanced second Titan LX. There is a Titan LX Supreme as well that is environmentally sealed. They all have the same first stage (with or without env. seal)

I have the regular Titan not the LX and I think it is balanced as well. Could any Aqua Lung specialist confirm that?

As far as I know, the only differences between the regular Titan and the LX are:
1. Shape and size, The LX is a smaller second.
2. Air adjustment. The LX is better.

the legend is the best, brethes grate upside down. ajest to a free flow if you wonted it to. I have 2 titan LX and never a secent thought.

I've had an LX for more than a year and it works great in any position even at depths of 120 feet. Have had a few friends try it out and they find it remarkable. Another plus is the fact that its not as high priced as other top performing regs.

I wouldn't even think. Go get it.

The only problem I have had with my Titan is that the MP ports nestle in such a way around the HP port on the first stage that it takes some shoehorning to get a wireless transmitter on it.

I am not an Aqua Lung specialist but I did just shop their line. From reading here I knew more than the LDS did about this issue. :) The regular Titan second is not air balanced. The LX second is and also comes with a venturi control knob. Actually the LX second, Legend (not LX) second, the Legend octo, and the LX Octo are all really the same. The Legend LX second adds a cracking effort adjustment along with the venturi adjustment.

One hidden price difference in the Legend and Titan LX is that because of the rising IP pressure (Aqualung definition of overbalanced) Legend first you need an air balanced Octo with the Legend. With the Titan LX you can choose either mechanical or air balance.

I've been down to 135 with it and no problems. I do have the LX version and changed over to din. Haven't had any problems besides having to tune the second stage down occasionally at shallower depths because of too much air, but I don't think that's really a problem.

The best reg is the one you can get serviced locally. That being said the Titan uses the same overhall kits as the USD Conshelf 21. Best reg for the money IMHO. By the way I dive with a Sherwood and, if I had the chance, I would trade it for a Titan now that I'm an equipment tech and know a few more things. The Sherwood would be my second choice though. Parts are harder to come by in my area.

the Titan 1st stage is a conshelf with a new body. Not a bad thing.
